Sherie Winston spent more than 20 years as a business and political journalist in Washington, DC before transitioning to public relations as the Director of Communications for an international labor union. Sherie returned to school at Georgetown University, earning a Master’s degree in Public Relations, just as social media and digital strategy were entering main-stream public relations practices. As a consultant, Sherie has worked with a range of corporate, government and nonprofit clients helping them integrate social media into their strategic communications plans. Sherie has also taught public relations and digital strategy at the college level to both undergraduate and graduate students. As a Boomer, Sherie loves sharing her passion for Social Media with other Boomers.
